The EVO Antistatic Protector filter employs distortion-free optical glass and a special multi-coating process that helps make this one of the sharpest and easiest filters to clean and maintain.

Hoya applies a proprietary Antistatic layer during the multi-coating process that prevents static electric build-up on the filter's surface that is caused during cleaning and handling of the filter. Great for environments where dust is common, these filters require less frequent cleaning and maintenance than traditional filters.

Additionally, the hardened, antistatic top-layer is water repellent, stain, and scratch-resistant, and cleans easily when smudges or fingerprints are introduced to the surface.

The EVO Antistatic Protector filters are made in Japan using hand-selected silicates that are carefully smelted and blended to yield high-performance optical glass. Hoya then applies 16-layers of a Super Multi-Coating (SMC) anti-reflection formula which greatly reduces or eliminates reflections on the surface of the glass and yields a 99.8% light transmission rate. This means the filter has virtually no effect on color, contrast, or clarity of the final image. Exactly what you want from a Protector filter.

Hoya uses a lightweight aluminum 5mm thick filter frame and has tested them on the widest lenses available that accept front filters and have detected zero vignetting (as of 03-2022).

The filter comes stored in ballistic nylon filter case with a soft scratch-free lining. It includes a magnetic clasp for easy access to the filter when you need it.
