The HDS-990 Digital Media Player features Hi-Res Playback of 192kHz/24bit for recording studio-level quality in the challenging interior environment of the vehicle.
When paired with the Hi-Res processing power of the HDP-D90 DSP, you receive an infallible listening experience and the ability to build and tune your ideal sound system.
Using engineering and design from the Ultra Hi-Res AlpineF#1Status System, the HDS-990 features exceptional tooling and rich build quality for the best possible sound reproduction.
The HDS-990 features a commander unit with six chiclets that access various sound and music controls and a high-definition display that features song information.
The unit can be conveniently mounted to the dash and used as a standalone music source or integrated with the factory or aftermarket head unit via the RCA or 4-Channel High-Level Inputs to easily switch between digital music sources.
The HDS-990 has multiple digital source inputs that can play a wide range of digital music file formats from MP3 to Hi-Res for flexible playback options.
Either connect a smartphone or mass storage device via a wired USB connection or USB input or connect wirelessly via Bluetooth® and LDAC connection.
Hi-Res music can be accessed on popular Hi-Res streaming services like Apple Music, Tidal, Amazon Music HD, and more or purchased and downloaded from platforms like HDtracks.
The Alpine Status System is sold separately and can be used to build a custom sound system.
Three sets of true 4V preamp outputs are included to add additional amplifiers if more power is needed.
For best results, install the complete Alpine Status system together as a full system to achieve the highest in class audio performance only second to the Ultra High-Resolution AlpineF#1System.
